We all know everyone loves action games. And RPGs, yes, very popular amongst gamers. Even dating sims are seeing a rise in popularity! But puzzlers? Well, I think I can safely say that they reached their prime in the 80’s, the decade that will always be remembered for overly synthesized music and eccentric hair.
Thankfully, FDG have not given up. For anyone wanting to escape their everyday life and become a magician specialising in making blocks magically disappear, or just enjoy a good ol’ puzzle game, this one’s for you!
Upon receiving a game for review with a title like ‘Puzzle World’, I had a fair idea of what to expect. A puzzle game, obviously, but with the ‘World’ attached maybe including platforming or action elements? After a bit of playing of Puzzle World, I wasn’t suprised by what the game contained, but what I was suprised about was how well it worked. You get over 50 levels (admittedly I didn’t make it through all of them), each a well designed level to challenge your brain, not your patience. And that, my friends, is a success.
