22 June, 2005: Nokia has announced that the much-awaited role-playing game, Xanadu NextTM, is soon reaching stores. Xanadu Next, an original take on the Xanadu franchise for the N-Gage platform, is a unique mix of traditional role-playing and exciting real-time combat, offering a gaming experience for Xanadu aficiondados. Gamers can showcase their skills on a global platform by uploading their high scores to the N-Gage Arena, the world’s biggest mobile gaming community. The most skilled gamers can also unlock a special map via the N-Gage Arena.

Xanadu Next teleports avid gamers to the distant land of Xanadu to help liberate the once-lively kingdom from the evil clutches of Galsis, the King Dragon and his monsters’ army. Gamers have to rescue MOMO, the village mayor’s daughter, who has been kidnapped by the evil honchos of Galsis. By finishing mystifying missions and fighting off innumerable enemies and bosses, gamers can rescue the beautiful MOMO and bring back Xanadu to its former tranquility.
