Messmo is an application that uses the mobile Internet, and combines SMS with the best of instant messaging and email, to give you:
Free TXT
Use real mobile numbers for SMS, Free TXT and attachments. Send to Messmo and non-Messmo users.
Use normal mobile numbers to send FREE TXT’s and ordinary SMS messages to your friends. Using messmo is just like using SMS.
If your friend is a messmo user, then messmo sends the message as a FREE TXT message, and if not messmo just uses SMS to send the message from your mobile phone.

I am impressed with it. How to access it from my cell? I have not used messmo before.
